This blog is about martial arts: the culture, the practice and the benefits associated to their training. We believe that practicing martial arts is one of the best form of excercise, for the body and also for the mind: the improved armony between body and mind allows the martial artist to be a strong, fast and agile person that will benefit of this in her whole life.
This blog explores many different aspects of many available styles, by discussing, explaining or simply commenting existing articles, books and video material.
There won’t be any attempt to teaching any technique or style (although discussion about these concept will be held) as we believe that learning a martial art can be just done with a good teacher.
Hi Massimo
Are “SPECIAL MOVES” purely the realm of video games…or is there a real life application for them?
And, I’m not talking throwing bolts of lightening and fireballs, or electrifying your skin…although if those are possible, I wouldn’t mind knowing.
But, is it advantageous to practise specific sequences, that suit my style and play to my strengths, with the aim to execute them in a real situation.
Or, are such sequences always too clumsy to implement, and make you vulnerable to good opponents who pick up the sequence, then predict your moves…and naturally counter attack?
